SYNOPSIS |
Peter, James and John, fighting sleep, witness this glory and stammer something to Jesus about building tabernacles for Moses, Elijah and Jesus, but a bright cloud overshadows them, and a voice says, "This is my Son, the Beloved (my Chosen); with him I am well pleased; listen to him!" When the voice is finished speaking, Jesus is once again standing alone. |
As the disciples and Jesus descend the mountain, Jesus orders the men to tell no one about the vision "until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead." He also explains that Elijah has returned and was not recognized, and that the Son of Man Himself is about to suffer. |
